TMC's 5-member delegation to visit J&K, will meet affected people in cross-border attacks

A five-member delegation from the Trinamool Congress, led by party Chairperson Mamata Banerjee, will visit Jammu and Kashmir from May 21 to 23. The team includes Derek O’Brien, Md Nadimul Haque, Manas Bhunia, Sagarika Ghose, and Mamata Thakur. They will visit Srinagar, Poonch, and Rajouri districts to meet people affected by recent cross-border attacks.

The delegation’s visit aims to express solidarity with the residents who have suffered losses due to the violence along the border. The members will meet families of victims and affected communities to share their support. The areas targeted during the visit have experienced casualties and disruptions because of ongoing cross-border tensions.

The visit comes amid heightened security concerns in the region. The delegation will engage with local communities and authorities to understand the impact of the attacks. The initiative reflects the party’s efforts to address the situation in Jammu and Kashmir through direct outreach.
